Hampton Beach, NH- UFO has landed in the U.S. once again! No, I’m not talking about the crop circles in the Midwest, or alien abductions, I’m talking about the world famous hard rock band from Europe, UFO! That’s right, UFO have returned to rock us once again on another tour of this great country. They have come loaded to the hilt with the classic rock songs we all love and remember, as well as the new stuff from their latest album, “You Are Here.”

UFO kicked off their U.S. tour at BB Kings night club in New York City on July 6th to a sold out show of rabid UFO fans! After the show, the group continued their rock ‘ roll trek North. After driving for most of the night, the band finally arrived at the famous Casino Ballroom, where fans from all over were already awaiting the arrival of the legendary group. It seems everybody and their mothers wanted the chance to meet Phil Mogg and his band mates.

UFO-phil-&-paulAfter an awesome set from supporting acts MOUNTAIN and special guest, the legendary guitarist Rick Derringer, UFO hit the stage like a category five tornado! The rockers shook the house to screaming fans with the opening song “Only You Can Rock Me,” followed by the classic hit “Let It Roll.” Phil Mogg’s voice was in tip top shape, and his incredible stage presence had everyone in attendance on their feet. The whole band was in great shape and high spirits!

The band line-up is of course original front man and total rock-star, Mr. Phil Mogg. Paul Raymond handling the keyboards and rhythm guitars like the pro that he is. Shredder Vinnie Moore playing lead guitar, and the very talented Jason Bonham who pounds the drums with such force you can literally feel it in your chest. Unfortunately, original member and bass guitarist Pete Way is absent from the U.S. tour once again for visa problems. However and luckily, Phil Mogg’s talented friend and guest from his 1999 album “Chocolate Box,” Jeff Kollman was able to step in on bass guitar, filling in for the legendary Pete Way.

UFO performed an amazing show, belting out song after song of their biggest hits including “Too Hot Too Handle” and “Rock Bottom.” The band also played some new songs from their latest masterpiece “You Are Here.” The excitement in the audience was extremely high, and the rock n’ roll energy flowing from the band was intense! I’m quite sure that every fan in attendance at this show will never forget this awesome performance by UFO. I know I won’t! All and all, it was an amazing show, and great to see the band still at the top of their game. UFO has proved once again to be a driving force in the rock world as we know it! An amazing live performance by UFO at the Casino Ballroom on July 7th, 2005! 10+ and two thumbs way up for this show. Thank you UFO for putting a smile on so many faces this night!

I’d also like to give due respect and props to all the managers and crew involved with the production of this tour. They all work extremely hard to keep UFO a smooth running machine.
