What can be said about John Corabi, that hasn't already been said? Not a whole hell of a lot, except that he's recently spoken to GlamMetal.com for the first time. Corabi isn't a man of many words, unless he's belting em' out through a microphone, but hey, he's spoken just the same, and that's fine by us!

John "Crabby" Corabi, former vocalist of Angora, The Scream, Union, and of coarse Motley Crue, has a pretty impressive Bio to say in the least. Crabby has been all over the map musically so far in his rock n' roll career, and as most Metal-Heads know, is currently the touring rhythm guitarist in Ratt. Crabby has played on numerous tribute albums, collaborations, and "All-Star" projects such as the Eric Singer Project, (ESP) and also spent a short time in Nikki Sixx's band, Brides Of Destruction as well.

Corabi seems to always stay busy by doing something musically related, and it shouldn't be a huge surprise to anyone to find the rocker hosting his own online radio show! Oh, you didn't know that huh? Hell yeah, you can now go to
www.rock.com and listen to Crabby spin some of his favorite Rock classics, and YES, he takes requests as well. The man is passionate when it comes to music, and certainly has great taste in tunes! Check it out for yourselves if you haven't all ready.

What follows is a short and sweet exclusive interview with Mr. John Corabi. As I said before, Corabi isn't a man of many words, but he say's what needs to be said, and he cleared up a couple of rumors that have been floating around out there as well, so we totally appreciate that. So, here he is, Vocalist/guitarist/songwriter John "Crabby" Corabi. Enjoy!

John Corabi, welcome to GlamMetal.com, how the hell are you man?rattcorabi802
Thanks, and I've been great!!! I've been finishing up my book, and just keeping busy overall.

First, congratulations on the launch of your new Online Radio show at www.rock.com  I fucking love it! Mind telling us a little about this, and how it all came about, and what plans or ideas you have for the show?
Thanks man! My managers actually set that up for me so I could start getting myself back out there in the public eye again.... It's been fun doing the shows, but a pain in the ass a little, because I'm not the most computer savvy person, and I've been having some problems with my internet connections lately.

Do you plan to have interviews, or special guest appearances on your show in the future?
At some point I would love to have special guest and such, but right now I'm just trying to get things off the ground.

I understand you've been working with Eric Singer on the Eric Singer Project. (ESP) You guys did a few gigs in Australia a couple of months back, how did that go, and will you be playing any gigs here in the states?
It's really up to Eric...It is his thing really, so when he calls I'll go....But he's been really busy as well with the Kiss gigs, and the Alice Cooper gigs too, so who knows?

Who else is involved in ESP, and are you guys planning on recording another album anytime soon?
It's Bruce Kulick, Chuck Garric, Eric Singer and myself. We just recorded some shows in Japan, and I do believe that Eric is planning on releasing that...could be wrong though.

Will Ratt tour this summer, and if so, with whom and where?
No..Ratt is just doing a few flyout dates.

Will Ratt fans ever see another studio album anytime soon?
I haven't got the foggiest idea..That is really Warren and Bobby's call to be honest.

Give us a little inside info if you would, has there ever been talk of recording a new Ratt record with the current line-up at all?
We've had some offers, but nothing really concrete...There was actually some talk of a live album as well, but again nothing concrete.

What are the chances of Ratt fans ever seeing another reunion with Steven Pearcy?rns2-crab202
That's really up to Steven and the guys...I would love to see them put their differences aside, and suck it up and go out there and rock for the fans, but there has been so much bickering in the past, and ego conflicts... it would be pretty tough...but we'll see man.

I'm surprised Pearcy hasn't contacted you yet to join his solo band, or has he?
No...I get along with Stephen fine, but I've been doing the Ratt thing for a while now, and I'm not into playing games with anyone, you know?

Seriously though, have you ran into Pearcy at all in your travels?
Not lately...

How long have you been with Ratt now Crabby?
I've been with Ratt since 2000.

What are a couple of your favorite Ratt songs to play live?
"Over The Edge", "Lack of Communication," and "Lay it Down" are great songs to play live!

Of all the tours you have been on over the years, which is a most memorable one for you?
Probably for overall insanity... The Motley Crue tour I did...whew!

What’s the most outrageous or crazy ass thing that you've ever witnessed on the road? Something that really comes to mind?
Ya know, like I said, the Motley tour was just crazy..Everyday something would happen! Girls doing the most outrageous things to meet the band, Tommy and Nikki stealing the busses and racing with them, all kinds of crazy shit like that!

I've heard rumors that Union is going to record another record. Is that true, and will you be involved in that?
I haven't heard that rumor...so maybe they got another singer!RNS-Ratt-Corabi-202

Do you have any other side projects going on other than Ratt or the "Eric Singer Project?"
No...I've just been writing my own material for some sort of solo thing, and also for country artists in Nashville.

The Scream and Union were awesome, it would be cool to see you doing something with those bands again. What are the chances of that?
Not very good...Bruce and I are both busy doing other things, i.e. Grand Funk Railroad, and Ratt...and the Scream guys and I are apparently not on the best of terms so...who know's man.

I was recently checking out your discography at your website, and was blown away at how many tribute albums you've been involved in! Of all the bands that you have covered, who do you particularly enjoy covering the most?
ABBA...

Also, I noticed that you have some cool new shirts available as well! Awesome designs man. I see that you are totally sold out of "The Scream Bootleg" disc, which is only available at your official website www.john-corabi.net When will you have more of the cd's available?
Thanks. I don't know, it was just a limited run, but I've gotten an overwhelming response to it, so that's cool.

I've got to ask, although you recorded all the rhythm guitar parts on the Brides Of Destruction's debut album, "Here Come The Brides," your time in the band was short-lived. Why did you leave the band, and did you contribute at all to the bands second album, "Runaway Brides?"
I was going through some personal issues with my son, and also a divorce...and also I was a bit disappointed in the way the songwriting was being done...the end!

What was it like working with Nikki again?RNS-RATT-Corabi02
It was alot of fun..Nikki really is a talented fucker!

What do you play for guitars, and who do you currently have endorsements with?
ESP guitars, and Soldano amplification, and Dean Markley string and picks...Also Digitech pedals as well as line 6.

What advice would you give to any aspiring musicians trying to get into the music business today Crab?
Follow your heart, and stay true to yourself..You'll have your up's and downs, but at the end of the day, you'll feel great about yourself that you accomplished what you wanted on YOUR TERMS!!!

What’s something that really pisses you off the most in this country, and needs to be addressed?
The Fast food mentality people have here man! The way I see things, nobody is willing to work, struggle, pay dues, earn, etc.. their goals.Everybody want's what they want, and they'll do anything to TAKE IT!!! And it's a sad state.

What's a couple of your favorite Glam-Metal bands from back in the day?
To be honest..I was always a 70's guy...So I'll say Slade and David Bowie,T-Rex, Sweet, and Alice Cooper...sorry, you can't beat the originals!!

You are certainly a busy man Crab. Is there anything that I didn’t ask you that you’d like to mention?
You didn't ask me what my favorite color was....BLACK!

Ok, in closing, is there anything you care to say to all of your fans out there Crabby?
Thank you guys for all of your support over the years, and I really hope to see alot of you soon on tour...
Peace! Crabby
