............................................................................ Jani Lane is back! That's right, vocalist/songwriter/performer extraordinaire and all around great guy, Jani Lane, is back for a part 2 interview with us. Jani digs GlamMetal.com TM so much, he wanted to come back and talk with us again! This is actually the third time we've had Jani grace our pages, we've got nothing but the highest respect for Jani, and it's a total honor to have THE Down Boy himself back with us once again. I couldn't convince Jani to wear our GlamMetal thong, but hey, maybe next time!
I'm quite sure that by now, everyone knows who Jani Lane is, but just in case you've been in Burma living as a monk for the past twenty-years or so, I'll give you a quick rundown on this amazing artist. Lane fronted one of the best-known bands from the 80's called WARRANT! Ring a bell? You can call them a Glam-Metal band, Hair band, Sleaze-Metal band, or whatever you want, but the bottom line is, they were, and still are, true musicians. Jani Lane wrote some of the best rock songs and rock ballads known to man! Although Jani disbanded from Warrant a few years back to pursue a solo career, he is still out there writing, recording and performing at every chance he gets. In 2003, Jani released a kickass solo album titled "Back Down To One," which has gotten great feedback, with songs such as "Funny," "How A Girl," and one of my favorites, "Twilight."
Jani and his band of Rock N' Roll animals are currently out on a mini-tour of the states, and the shows have been nothing but great! The audiences are having fun, and getting what they deserve, and that is a kick ass rock show. Keep your eyes and ears open, because Jani Lane's Warrant may roll into your town, and trust me, you've got to witness Jani and this amazing band perform live! Jani is also currently working on a new project that may get your attention as well, and it's all here!
I'd also like to mention that we have another special guest joining in on parts of this interview along with Jani. She is Jani's better half, the very talented, and beautiful Sheila Lussier! Jani and Sheila actually announced some special news here at GlamMetal.com TM this evening, and I believe we're one of the first to get this great news. The rock n' roll couple have announced that they plan to get married! So a huge congratulations to them! We at GlamMetal.com TM would like to wish Jani and his bride to-be a very happy and long life together! So, in saying that, here is Jani Lane and Sheila Lussier to talk about what's currently going on in their lives, and a bunch of other cool stuff as well. Enjoy!

Jani Lane, welcome back to GlamMetal.com TM for part 2 of Jani Lane! How are you my friend? I'm great! Really good! Good shows, good band, and I'm actually getting back to having fun.
You look great dude! I can see that what you learned on fit club has really paid off, huh? Well, I've put back on ten pounds.
You did not! Yeah, I did. I got down to almost nothing, I was down in the 160's. For a guy who's 6' 1" that's pretty slim. When you have Harvey in your face everyday, saying "March it out!" (Laughs) The weight seems goes off man!
(Laughs) Do you have some sort of a workout regiment that you follow, or what? You know what? I walk constantly. I probably lose three to six pounds in water weight a night, then rehydrate, and do it all over again. Ah... and bulimia helps. (Laughs) Sheila: (Laughs) Stress!
Stress to? Yeah, stress helps to. (laughs) You know... it's more a frame of mind. I think when things are really bad in your life, and you don't have those people to cling to, or turn to, or comfort you, you comfort yourself with other things, and for me, that would be alcohol, food, lots of food. I'm a cook...I like carbs, which is a bad thing. So...you just kinda learn to eat differently, you know? Unfortunately, I just found out that I think I'm allergic to seafood. I really like seafood!
Have you been staying in contact with any of your old fit-club pals? Victoria Jackson mostly. Wendy, the Snapple lady just sent us ten cases! We stay in touch with her. Ah...Gary Busey, who is a wonderful, interesting, talented actor who is impossible to stay in touch with, because mostly he is on Mars. (Laughs) But I love him!
You are currently out on tour, and from what I've heard, the shows are going great, and people are really digging em' man! How's the tour going for you so far Jani? The tour is going great, because for the first time in a long time, I'm playing with a bunch of guys who are really enthusiastic, and they're happy, and they're fun, and they're ready to go. Nine songs into the set, I'm looking over, and they're not sweating! They are loving it man, they're just digging it! I'm pouring, drenched with sweat! (Laughs) It's really fun... I step on stage with Dario and his friend DC, and it feels like I'm being part of future history, because these kids are destined to be stars.
Where will this tour take you, and how long do you expect to be out? First, I'm gonna take a vacation to the Bahamas with my lovely girlfriend Sheila...
Yes, the lovely and talented Sheila Lussier. It doesn't look like you have zits all over your face like we all heard about Sheila...your face looks clear and beautiful to me. Sheila: Yes, thank you very much! That was so mean what they said!
Why would anyone do that shit man? I don't get it! All I can say, is they must be awfully bored! I'll say this, I might possibly consider doing a tour with them, if they could draw more than fifteen people!
Do you want this on the record? Sure! Listen...not everyone over there is a bad person, but there are several people that go under certain names, that continue to just talk crap.
That's for sure man! Lets move onto more positive stuff, shall we? You have new line-up for the new version of Jani Lane’s Warrant. For those who don't know, mind introducing the band for us? Dario Lorina, who I would consider a sixteen-year old guitar prodigy. I think he's everything Randy Rhodes was growing up, he is a future star in the making, and it's a real mistake to miss him playing. His friend Daniel Conway, (DC) or as we like to call him D-Animal, on drums, is just amazing! The energy level is incredible! Chad Macdonald on bass, who is the best dressed bass player in the world. You can tell he likes Cheap Trick! (Laughs) Also, Shawn Zavodney plays keys, and has been with me for quite a while.
Dario Lorina is an amazing guitarist man! And he's only sixteen! This kid is going places for sure. How'd you happen to hook up with Dario, and do you plan to do any writing with him at all? Yeah...he and I have been talking about doing some writing. I think probably by the end of the summer, he's going to start working on his own project, which is great, and I would love to help him write. His riffs man, you sit around and listen to him play, and you're like "How old are you?" He approached me several times on the internet, before I finally got on the phone with him while he was in Germany touring. I talked with him and I was like, "There is no way this kid is sixteen!" He's what I call an old soul. The kid that starred in "The Sixth Sense," Haley Joel Osment, is what I would consider a very old soul as well. It's my favorite movie. But ah...I'm really happy with the band the way it is right now. Can't complain! Sheila: We were looking for a new band for Jani, and we thought, why don't we put up an add on Myspace, because so many people approach him, so we just typed up an add, and got hundreds and hundreds of people sending us stuff, and Dario was one of the applicants who applied, and it was like, he is sixteen, how can he be good? (Laughs) Jani: Also, I got a call from Dana Strum, who said, "Check this kid out!"
Do you guys mind if I add Sheila's comments and stuff in this interview as well? Sheila: I don't mind. Jani: It's all in one. We're getting married, I'm getting her pregnant...(Laughs) Sheila: (Laughs) We're practicing!
(Laughs) Are you really!? Jani: Yes!
Wow! Congratulations! Cool, can I print this awesome news? Jani: Yes you can Doobie! I'm excited about our future, and I would love to have a blond, curly-headed child with her. Sheila: What if the child has straight hair? (Laughs)
Dude, That is awesome! Brings tears to my eyes man. That is so sweet dude! Sheila: Ohhh...thank's!
Lets move on before you see Doobie shed a tear! (Laughs) Ok, where were we? Dario... Sheila: Yeah...so we did the Myspace add, and Dario was one of the people who responded to it, but so many musicians mentioned that we should listen to him, Dana Strum was one, and several others... Jani: Mostly Dana. Sheila: So he flew in from Germany... Jani: yeah, his father and him flew in on their own dime, I played drums. Phil Souson played bass... Sheila: Phil's a great guy. Jani: We said, "Let's rock out a few songs," and by the third song, that was it! Sheila: He was nervous though, he wasn't like he is now, he's learned a lot! Jani: He still totally ripped man!
I'm curious, him being only sixteen and all, does he have a parent or guardian out here touring with him, or what? I mean, does he have to have a note from home? His mom and dad come out occasionally, and they have now reached a point where they feel comfortable with myself and Obi. We get him out of the club as soon as possible, to keep him away from the bad influences. Like last night, I don't know what kind of idiot offers cocaine to a sixteen-year old child! That's when you grab the idiot by the collar, and say, "You're outa here!" Sheila: On the last run, somebody wanted to take him to a strip bar...but not on the road with us! Jani: I told him, that when he turns eighteen, I'll take him to a strip bar... Sheila: Oh honey, I'm sure he'll go on his own.
Well...girls are one thing, but to offer a kid drugs is ridiculous! Absolutely! No alcohol, and no drugs! Sheila: He's just a normal kid, he goes back to his room, and he does his homework and stuff, you know? Jani: You know what? Girls really dig him man...they're like "oh wow... a little Randy Rhodes!" (Laughs) Sheila: They really do though! Jani: He's too nice for his own good, so we watch after him. Everybody in the whole group watches after him. We just had a club owner, and I won't mention what club, try to give him a shot! I'm like, "What are you doing!?" First of all, you could lose your liquor license, second of all, you're contributing to a minor, and third of all, get the fuck away from a sixteen-year old kid! I think when they see him play, and hear his accent, they forget how young he is, because he's really mature for his age, you know? Sheila: One of the shows up in New York, his Uncle's came, and they were these big Italian guys, like 6' 5" They keep an eye on him as well.
It seems he's well looked after by you guys, and everyone else, so that's cool. Yes, he is. They trust us, and we do appreciate it.
Are you actually calling this band, "Jani Lane’s Warrant," or are you just continuing on as a solo artist? Promoter's promote it any way they want, but I'm Jani Lane. Anything but the "Cherry Pie Guy!" (Laughs)
(Laughs) It's funny, because some of the flyers at the venues will have Jani Lane, in smaller letters, and then Warrant in big ass letters! (Laughs) It's the promoter's. I really can't control how they advertise shows and all that kinda stuff, and obviously they want the name Warrant in there somewhere. I'm in the middle of litigation with the guys from Warrant, so I try to be as careful as possible, and all that kind of stuff. Bottom Line, when you hear "Mr. Rainmaker," it's me. And you know what? Jamie St. James has gone through a lot of shit, and a lot of bad talk, and he's actually a really good friend of mine from Ohio, and I hate it when people do that! The guy is out there, he's doing a job, he's singing songs that he didn't write, and as far as I'm concerned, he's doing the best he can. It would be like me trying to sit in with Boston. I think I could sing the songs, but I'm not Brad Delp. Tim "Ripper" Owens, my golf buddy from Ohio, is awesome! But he ain’t Rob.
In other news, I understand that “Back Down To One” was released in all major stores here in the U.S. a couple of months ago, how stoked are you about that, and how well is that doing? Yeah, you can pick that up at Wal-Mart or Target, anywhere really. The record is doing really well, it was the best selling record for the first two weeks, or week, or something like that, but it's doing well. I'm really concentrating on what I'm writing now.
What's a couple of songs off "Back Down To One" that you really dig playing live, and how's the response been so far to the newer stuff Jani? "Nothing," and "Funny." I actually haven't played anything off from "Back Down To One," on this tour yet.
Nothing at all? No, because I'm actually starting to play songs off the new one that I'm working on. Sheila: Yeah, like "Serial Killer" tonight.
Yeah, I really liked that song! Are you getting good feedback to the newer stuff, opposed to the Warrant stuff? Yeah, sure! "Serial Killer" is going over fantastic. The song I'm working on now, "Along For The Ride," seems to get a rise outa people as well.
 |
Cool! I noticed everyone in the audience tonight, smiling and laughing, and just having a great time singing along to all the songs and stuff. How does it make you feel Jani to make so many fucking people happy dude? You make a lot of people happy every night. Sheila: Do you think of that Jani? Jani: I made a lot of people unhappy tonight. I had a couple of people thrown out tonight...
Dude, they were fighting man! That was their problem if they couldn't chill out and just have a good time, you know? Sheila: Doobie, he doesn't see it that way.
Jani, I'm serious, you've been making people fucking smile from ear to ear since the 80's man! That's gotta make you feel good. Is this a lame question? No, I just feel like I kinda make as many people unhappy as I do happy. So...I feel good about the happy side, and bad about the unhappy side. Sheila: That's not true Jani....
I would have to disagree as well. I was blown away by the happy, positive energy at that club tonight man. Thank you. I'm really that kind of personality, where I want to make everyone happy, and I know I can't. I'll tell you what hurts, is when people like Kip Winger, who I've toured with for god knows how many years, talked crap about a bad two week run on the VH1 " Metal Mania-Stripped Across America" tour, where we had a lot of personalities on the bus. Things were not going well. I was going through a real rough time with a divorce, and all that kinda stuff, and to talk disrespectfully behind your back to radio stations, and promoters and stuff, that hurts me, because I would never do that to him. Sebastian, another guy who has been a friend of mine forever, and I talk to him all the time, and when I see him I'm always polite, and he turns around, and he won't give me props, like I give him props, because he feels like it'll make him uncool to the heavier bands.
Skid Row and Warrant came out around the same time. I remember when all the magazines like Hit Parader, Circus and Metal Edge would have "Warrant vs Skid Row" on the cover and stuff. That was so stupid. Yeah, it was. But Sebastian has a great voice.
Yeah he does, but so do you man. You were fucking ripping out there tonight brother! Thank you man! Sheila: Yeah, he was!
Is “Jabberwocky” going to be your next release? Absolutely not. "Jabberwockey" is sitting in the can. I'm like halfway between wanting to re-record it with other artists, or just master it, and put it out in a two part series kind of a thing, because there are so many songs. It's just something that has sat there for so long. In the last four months, I've been writing so much new stuff.
Seems like you've had "Jabberwocky" in the works for a long time. How long have you been working on this record? It's been simmering since Rick Stier...probably 96 I guess. Sheila: You have to find the right label to, because the music business has changed so much. Jani: Some people out there have bootleg copies of "Jabberwocky," and they think they have the whole thing. Sheila: They were selling songs for a hundred dollars a song on ebay. Jani: Yeah, like twenty-seven or twenty-eight songs.
No shit, how did they get it anyways? Sheila: We don't know. Friends maybe? Jani: There was a guy in Canada that was bootlegging it, but...
What's his name Jani, lets smoke his ass out! (Laughs) Dude, we found him, and we took care of it...I think it was Calgary, and it wasn't pretty! (Laughs) Sometimes you gotta take the law into your own hands! (Laughs) Sheila: (Laughs) Seriously though, the music business has shifted back to rock n roll, and I think they're more accepting of a collection like "Jaberwocky" now than they were like five years ago.
How would you best describe “Jabberwocky?” Ah..."Jabberwocky is real "Singer Songwriter" kinda vibe. There's two separate stages where we went through kind of a...Tom Petty kinda stage, then we went through this whole loop, and we used all kinds of guys, Rick Stier, James Kottak, Danny Wagner, and just a ton of talented people on it, and it's all just sitting there.
So is this something you're definitely gonna put out at some point? I think if I could find the right outlet for it, and properly get it mastered so that it sounded coherent and cohesive, then I would do it. In the meantime, it's just fun for me to listen to. Sheila: Right now, he's working on the "Angel City Outlaws," with Bobby Blotzer and Keri Kelli. Jani: We have some monster songs on that, and I wrote em' all.
Keri Kelli seems to be everywhere man! Keri Kelli is an amazing guitar player, who I love to play with. It's just magic when him and I get together to write. My brother Eric Oswald on acoustic is great as well. Many people don't know this, but my brother actually taught Joe walsh how to play slide in my back yard! Played in the measles with him, oh yeah! Sheila: How much older is your brother than you? Jani: He's fifty-six. My brother played with Joe Walsh for years. Taught him how to play slide, by taking one finger off of a wool glove, and put it on there so you don't ring out the strings, oh yeah baby! Sheila: He also played on "Uncle Tom's Cabin," right? Jani: He played the intro, which was him actually warming up. Swear to god! That was him warming up, and Beau Hill says, "We got it!" (Laughs) My brother said, "I'm not even warm yet." (Laughs) Also, I've been told by professionals, including one of the guys who plays in Yes, and he said, what your brother did in the beginning of "Uncle Tom's Cabin," is unchartable. So...I take that as a huge compliment! Reb Beach tried to learn it for two weeks, called me up and said, "What the fuck did your brother play!?" (Laughs)
(Laughs) That's something I certainly didn't know, and I thought I knew it all! (Laughs) So tell me more about the "Angel City Outlaws" project if you would. Sure! We have half of it done, probably ten of the songs written, and as soon as I get a break off of this stuff, I'll go back in and finish it up. Sheila: They are presently recording it now. Jani: Yeah, as I mentioned, we've got half of the record done, we will probably have the other half done by the end of the summer, and I hope for a November master.
How would you describe the music? Ah...it's pretty heavy. It's heavy, fun, poppy...you'll dig it Doobie! (Laughs) Sheila: Yeah, it rocks! (Laughs)
Cool, I look forward to hearing more of that in the near future. Ok, last time we talked Jani, you were gearing up for the "Metal Mania-Stripped Across America" tour. There were some negative reports on that, mind clearing it up with us? Tell us what really went down man. I kicked absolute ass on the first half of that tour! There were just to many personalities on one bus, no space, no privacy, the whole nine yards. I had all kinds of personal stuff going on at the same time, and by like the last four shows, all I wanted to do was get the fuck home.
Also, you were doing some producing as well, are you still involved with that at all? No I am not. I'll tell you what, that drained me. It's very hard to pull a performance out of someone who has not been in a studio for a long time, or ever, for that matter, and also, I don't have a name like Mutt Lange, so I'm not gonna walk in with 3 Doors Down, or somebody like that. I know exactly what to do in the studio, but it's so hard to work with a young band, because they come in feeling like they've played clubs, and opened for a few bands, and have done some demo's, and they think they know how to make a record. It's like man, no! Get ready to work, strap yourself in!
You were thinking about doing some acting as well, how’s that going for ya? I don't act, Sheila, my beautiful girl here acts.
Tell us what you're up to Sheila. I started off modeling, and have been working in TV since I was like twelve. I'm currently producing and directing a documentary on James Brown. I've also got a book out on how to get your kids into showbiz. You can check that out at www.showbizbooklets.com and if you'd like more info on me, please go to www.sheilalussier.com
Cool Sheila! So Jani is playing the part of James Brown? (Laughs) (Laughs) No, no, no.... Jani: (Singing) I FEEL GOOD! (Laughing) Seriously though, if something came along like one of these little snippets on a reality show that I could have fun with, like we were talking about "Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp." Something like that, where it's not really acting, it's just me coming in and doing what I do, I would do that.
So you don't want to really do anything in movies or anything huh? I want to be Antonio Banderas! (Laughs) You know what? I would rather write. I'm a writer, been a writer my whole life, and we're actually working on a couple of scripts right now.
Ok, just a couple of Warrant questions. I know you get asked this all the time Jani, but do you ever see yourself working with Warrant again? I simply answer that question, I never say never. I believe Warrant is my legacy, and if there was an opportunity that came along where we could do a real tour, a fun tour, done in the right way, be compatible, and end it on a good note, I'd be game. I don't think there's as much bad blood as people think there is. I think it's more a disagreement on how business was being done.
You must have some love for the guys, I mean aren't you guys the Down Boys? At one time, Eric Turner was my best friend in the world. Jerry and I have always gotten along. Steven and I... as you know, grew up together in Ohio, and Joey gets most improved player in the entire band. Are they my best friends right now? We're not really in communication right now, although I did talk to Mike Fasano and Joey at the Greek Theater, and we got along great, and had a good time there. I don't have any shit to talk, except that my feelings are a little hurt in that they would try and take somewhat of my legacy away from me. I feel it should be in equal share, all shake hands, and either go out, end it on a big note, or just say it was fun doing it, and lets walk away, but there's really no reason to talk any crap. Especially about Jamie St. James, who I've known for years, and he's an incredibly nice guy. He's a good egg!
Yes, Jamie is a good egg. I interviewed him as well a few months back. So Jani, do you miss playing in Warrant, or are you quite content as a solo artist? Oh man...there were nights where Warrant was like pulling all four of my wisdom teeth at once, and then there were nights when we were like a freight train rolling downhill, and I know we kicked every bands ass on the bill, and that includes some bands that start with M's, G's D's and P's man.
Nothing against Jamie, but what are your thoughts on the original line-up out there touring with a different singer? I think it's great! It's fine. They know those are my songs...if you guys forget a chord, just call me! (Laughs)
I'm sorry, but I had to laugh dude... I saw you on VH1 talking about being the "Cherry Pie guy," and how you regret ever writing that song. It was actually quite comical man! Is that true? Is that really how you feel man, and if so, why? Please tell us about this Cherry Pie trip you're on. Here's the deal. "Cherry Pie" is a song that I'm known very well for, and it's not a song I intended to write. It was a song that was created through direction by the president of Columbia, so I feel as though, it wasn't necessarily meant to be on that record, but I did it because of the powers that be. What disturbs me is the moniker, the people that are like, "Oh hey, you're the Cherry Pie guy." That gets a little old. I would appreciate it if people would actually listen to some of the other catalogue, you know? I mean, there are some thoughtful songs like "Uncle Tom's Cabin," and "I Saw Red," "Andy Warhol Was Right," and "The Bitter Pill," was great as well. So...I think it's that moniker on a nightly basis, it's like, "Hey, there's the Cherry Pie guy!" And I think, the fucking song wasn't even my idea! But, I understand it's my legacy, and at the same time, I'm also happy that I wrote a song that seems to be standing the test of time.
So you were just goofing off then on the VH1 interview? Oh yeah! I am absolutely positive, if you interviewed somebody from Sweet, they would say that "The Ballroom Blitz" was not their favorite song, but it's what we all know them for.
Of all the tours you've been on over the years Jani, which is a shit load, which was one of your absolute favorites, or most memorable for you? My favorite was our headlining tour, "Blood, Sweat and Beers" with Firehouse and Trixter. I think we grossed like 5.5 million, and at the end, we all got a check for seven grand. (Laughs) The reason for that was, we blew so much shit up every night! (Laughs) I believe our budget was running at like one-hundred-ninety-five thousand a week with pyro and everything. And you know what? We didn't care, we just wanted to be Rock Stars, and look good. We were trying to keep up with Bon Jovi. (Laughs) I mean Richie was sleeping with my girlfriend, so...I love him though, he's a great guy really.
(Laughs) What's a couple of your favorite Glam-Metal bands from back in the day? First of all, Bowie. Second of all, Hanoi Rocks! If I had to throw in a third, it would be the New York Dolls. Sheila: T-Rex was cool! Jani: Yeah, T-Rex was cool as well. Bolan died to young man! I actually had Andy McCoy and Steven Adler over at my house for dinner one night. Andy threw up, passed out on the table, we woke him up, took him out to dinner, got some food in him, went back to his house, and he played me two brilliant songs that he had just written, then passed out again, tore down his whole CD rack, and landed on the floor. I left, and unfortunately I've never heard those songs. Quite a night! (Laughs) Steven just complained because I cooked to spicy!
(Laughs) Spicy huh? Do you still do a lot of cooking? I assume you aren't a cook somewhere like we heard a few years back huh? Oh, that! I actually enjoy cooking. Sheila: Jani could be a five-star cook, he's an amazing cook! Jani: That's how I've survived forever, I've cooked in everything from Waffle House, to Five-Star Restaurants, and all that. My friend Billy Morris was opening his new club, the "Hi Fi Club," so my friend, who is a chef from Cleveland and I thought we'd come in and cook New-Years Eve dinner for everyone, and all these guys ran in the back with camera's, took pictures, and said Jani is now a cook. I think they also said I was living in Billy's basement or some shit. (Laughs) It was fucking ridiculous! Sheila: They should really try and do something good, and positive, besides being mean, and altering photos and stuff. Jani: Like I said, if they reported the positive side of things, the good shows, what happens that's fun, where people had a good time, and showed some of those pictures, it would be fine, but instead, it's evil gossip, waiting for someone to fall on their face. Karma is powerful, and what goes around, comes around. I hear that man! I have to ask you, did you ever get your clothes and guitars back, or find the thief that stole them? I know it’s old news, but could you tell us a little about how, when, and where this happened? Ok...all I can say is this. I made a huge mistake one night, and got angry with Sheila, whom I love dearly, and intend to marry. I wound up with a bad influence that night, and had all my stuff in their truck, and within six hours, everything was stolen. I had a lot of stuff stolen. You know what? I should have just listened to her!
 |
Should he have listened to you Sheila? Yes. I felt really bad. I even washed and folded everything to before they stole it! Jani: Sheila has been extremely patient with me through a real rough time through the holidays.
Ok, I'd like to ask you Jani, what would you like to say to anyone out there that likes to talk shit about you personally? I'd say, stop looking at the gossip, and don't believe everything you hear. Walk a mile in my shoes, write half the songs I've written, and come on stage, and sing backing vocals with me!
Awesome! "Sweet" Lou Hetzer of Glam Slam Productions, really wanted to ask you a question as well, so fire away Lou! Lou: I just wanna know man, what do you miss from the old days when you were out with the Warrant guys? I miss having a suite at the Four Seasons, and having someone cater to me, and do my laundry, and all that kinda stuff. That was all very fun. What I appreciate now, is doing it myself, or finding someone like Sheila who helps me, and does so much for me, and getting on stage, and kicking ass without the crutch.
In closing, anything you’d like to say to all of your fans out there Jani? Which by the way is a ton You've got to come out and see this band! The band is really, really exciting, and it excites me! I haven't been really excited about getting on stage in a long time. I went through a long period of time, where it kinda felt like work, kinda like clocking in, you know? Now, every night, I get on stage with these kids, and it's like being on stage with future stars man. I think people need to experience this version, and nothing at all against the version of Warrant that's out there. But come on man, come on out and check it out! Thanks to everyone who has been supportive over the years.
