Late 70's Epiphone acoustic

A Tobacco Sunburst Les Paul because it is the first Les Paul that I bought when I was a teenager. It looks just like Ace Frehley's from 74

Boss tuner & Noise suppresser, Landmine Distortion, Ibanez AD99 Analog Delay & Flanger, MXR Micro Amp & Phase 90, Tech 21 Double Drive

Fender 1964 & 1966 Black Face Bassman Heads, Fender Supersonic Head, Marshall 1960a Cabs, Fender Vibrolux , Seymour Duncan Alnico II pro and Pearly Gates pickups.

At what age did you start playing guitar?
11

What inspired you to start?
Ace Frehley

How long do you use to practice when you first started ?
I was not a big practice person but I would say about an hour a day... the lesson part anyway!

And what did you practice? (Songs, scales, ect…)
I started with the basics of course then went to scales. My teacher at the time had me get Sal Salvadores single string studies book and told me that if I got through this book I would be a guitar player. I got half way through it!

Do you still practice often, if so how often and what do you play when practicing?
Still not a big practice guy but I play everyday and usually work on solos and technique but to me it's all about the vibe and the feel. It shouldn't be like weight lifting.

Who were some of your favorite guitarist?
Started with Ace Frehley bit then it was all about Eddie Van Halen. Today it's all about Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Warren Haynes, Billy Gibbons, Peter Frampton, Angus Young

What gave you the greatest degree of difficultly when learning the guitar?
Chords

Did you learn how to read music? If no, can you read music now?
Yes, but if you put a chart in front of me now... good luck!

What advice would you give someone who is struggling playing by ear?
Everybody should take lessons as long as they can. You really should learn the basics.

How do you go about composing a solo for a song?
Usually they come straight from the gut and then I refine it from there. That seems to work best for me.

Do you ever write in different tunings?
Usually just standard tuning but I also use drop D tuning alot.

What other styles of music are you competent in?
Well you knoooooow... I DO IT ALL!!! Blues, Jazz, Hip Hop, Nate King Cole... No I'm just kidding. My thing is just bluesy hard rock swagger sweaty sweet shit.

What other instruments can you play?
A little banjo, bass, piano... but far from an expert

When playing live if you hit the wrong note, what do you do?
MOVE ON.... it's all about the next note.

What’s the game plan for Klear for the remainder of the year?
We are currently writing and demoing songs for a new record also working on a couple projects for film and TV and of course... MORE TOURING!!!
