It’s seems like it’s been a million years since we last spoke with guitar wiz kid Alex Grossi. And since then so much has happened with this guitar star. So let’s do a little catching up. Currently, Alex is touring with original Guns n’ Roses drummer Steven Adler in Adler Appetite, which also includes Michael Thomas -guitar, Chip Z’Nuff-bass and Sheldon Tarsha-vocals. The band is receiving rave reviews everywhere they play. If you dig GnR, Adler’s Appetie is a must see. You wouldn’t find anything closer to the swagger and style of the original GnR anywhere else, unless the original GnR re-unites , which will never, ever happen. In addition, to Adler’s Appetite, Grossi is also involved in several other projects, which Alex will discuss below in this exclusive GlamMetal.com Interview.

..........................................................................................................................................................................

Adler's Appetite performed this past weekend at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. What were some of the highlights of the show?

GROSSI: The Vegas show was great- we oversold it by a landslide. At one point, I believe 200 people were turned away, after we were WAY over capacity. The fans were awesome and we can't wait to get back to Sin City and do a bigger venue!

Tell us a little bit about the set list on the current tour?

GROSSI: We are mixing it up between the "hits" and some of the deeper cuts off of "Appetite." The great thing about this band is that you never know what is gonna happen set-wise; we have a rough idea, but we tend to gauge what we play off the crowd.

How is Steven doing? Is he enjoying performing once again?

GROSSI: Steven is doing great. We have been holed up in the rehersal room banging it out, he is playing the best he has in years, and most importantly, he is healthy.

Any plans to go into the studio with Steven?

GROSSI: We are taking things one tour/project at a time, although there has been talk...

You have toured the world performing with so many great bands. What has Steven taught you as a musician?

GROSSI: If there's one thing I've learned from Steven, it is to truly are enjoy what you do. If you are having fun onstage, it infects the audience and comes back at you tenfold.

Also, is it true that you back with Beautiful Creatures ?

GROSSI: I recently did a European tour with Joe and the boys. If he has the gigs and I have the time, why not?

Any Beautiful Creatures recording plans in the works?

GROSSI:  After seeing the reaction to the band overseas, we have been approached about a new Beautiful Creatures record. If the right deal were come to the table, I would consider it. There are a lot of people out there that really dig the band and it's a fun band to be in. Joe and I have already tossed some song ideas around and we are talking to some people. Time will tell...

Congratulations on Hookers & Blow appearing in Guitar Legends Magazine. How did this transpire?

GROSSI: The GUITAR LEGENDS thing was set up by a company that Dizzy and I endorse, Snap Jack. I came to their advertising people with the idea for this ad and they just ran with it... I think it came out great! -- They plan to run it all year in various trade mags (REVOLVER, GUITAR PLAYER, etc.).

You attended NAMM this year. Tell us about your new recent endorsements?

GROSSI: As always, PAUL REED SMITH and DIAMOND were great, but the highlight was getting to perform an impromptu acoustic Hookers & Blow set at SNAP JACKS's booth. Everyone got on their phones and texted their friends to come down... within 2 songs security was called in to handle the crowd.

(Special thanks to Grover and Bev @ PRS for providing Dizzy and I with these BEAUTIFUL prototype acoustics for the "show")

ALEX, Thank you for checking in and Best of Luck with the tour. Is there anything else that you would like to say to the fans at GlamMetal.Com?

GROSSI: Just thanks for all the continued support, and I hope to see you all out there...come by and say Hi! As always, tour dates, updates, etc. can be found at
